Worker's World Party (WWP) was a communist party in the United States founded in 1959 by Sam Marcy. Marcy and his followers split from the Socialist Workers Party in 1958 over a series of long-standing differences, among them support for Henry Wallace's Independent Progressive Party in 1948. Only two Workers World Party candidates have received votes in California; Deirdre Griswold (in 1980) and Larry Holmes (in 1988).
