  • Adrian C. Ellis, escaped from a federal prison where he was held as a confederate prisoner of war. After arriving in Nevada, he was Democratic candidate for governor at one time and again a candidate for Congress. [Source] "History of the bench and bar of Utah" indicates that Ellis was paroled.
