Candidate Biography:

Born: ~1823
Killed: November 11, 1855 near Chualar, CA

1853: Speaker, California State Assembly
1853-1855: Customs Collector, Port of Monterey

  • Wall was murdered and robbed of his money-belt about two hours after leaving the home of Miriano Malarin in the Salinas Valley, where he had spent the night before. The Malarin rancho was located where the town of Chualar is now, and the robbery occured between there and the Gonzalez ranch (now the City of Gonzales).
