Died (in office): May 8, 1968 near Page, Arizona

1954: Resigned from the State Assembly on July 31.
1954-1961: Director, Farmers Home Administration (USDA)
1958: Campaign Manager, William F. Knowland for Governor campaign

  • Hinckley and his wife died when their private airplane, a Navion A (tail number N91105) experienced engine failure and crashed. The airplane experienced a complete engine failure which led to a forced landing on uneven terrain half a mile from the airport at Page Municipal Airport in Arizona.
