• During her time in the Assembly (1996–2002), Alquist appeared on the ballot as "Elaine White Alquist". By the 2007-08 Session in the Senate, her letterhead read "Elaine K. Alquist" and since 2009 has used the longer "Elaine Kontominas Alquist".

• Had a spouse who also served in the legislature (although not concurrently).
