  • LEGISLATION: Author of SB 1381 (2012) which would change the terminology used in California statute from "mentally retarded person" to "person with intellectual disability" in the Business and Professions, Civil, Education, Government, Health and Safety, Insurance, Penal, Probate, Vehicle, and Welfare and Institutions Codes. This bill was signed into law as Chapter 457, Statutes of 2012.
