- CLOSE CONTEST: In the 2024 General Election, Laura Richardson initially led Michelle Chambers by about 3% on election night, with her lead narrowing for about a week after the election. As of November 16th, Richardson leads by 1.2%.
- Chaptered Legislation: During her 261 days in the State Assembly, Richardson authored 20 bills and one resolution, of which five bills and one resolution were chaptered into law.
- REPRIMAND: In August 2012, the House of Representatives reprimanded Richardson for "improperly using House resources for campaign, personal, and nonofficial purposes; by requiring or compelling her official staff to perform campaign work; and by obstructing the investigation of the Committee and the ISC through the alteration or destruction of evidence, the deliberate failure to produce documents responsive to requests for information and a subpoena, and attempting to influence the testimony of witnesses.".
