- CLOSE CONTEST: In the 2024 Primary, Clarissa Cervantes (D) initially led Ronaldo Fierro (D) for the second place spot on the November ballot by 75 votes (0.2%) at the end of end election night. The following day (March 6th), Fierro took the lead by 0.2% which grew to 0.5% by the end of the following day. The race then narrowed, with Fierro leading by just nine votes on March 8th, and 13 votes on March 9th. By the end of March 9th, Cervantes took a 50-vote lead over Fierro (0.1%) but by the end of March 11th, Fierro retook the lead by 10 votes.
