William Edward Simpson
Born: April 12, 1889 in Galesburg, Illinois
Died: April 29, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA

1946-1951: District Attorney, Los Angeles County

 

  • On September 12, 1950, District Attorney Simpson reported that Communists were moving into incorporated areas to avoid Los Angeles County's Communist Registration Ordinance, which requires "all Communists in county territory to register with the sheriff's office."
