  • Current Events: On June 8, 2025, Ashley Zavala of KCRA broke the news that Senator Limon had secured the necessary votes to become the new President pro Tem for the California State Senate. On June 9th, it was announced that the transition would take place in early 2026.
  • LEGISLATION: Author of AB 2252 (2018), the Grant Information Act of 2018, which created the California Grants Portal (grants.ca.gov) to provide a centralized location for grant seekers to find California state grant opportunities. The bill also required state agencies to register every grant the state agency administers on the Portal.
  • DISTRICT FACTOID: When Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born to Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in 2021, they were constituents of State Senator Monique Limon and Assemblyman Steve Bennett.
