  • Turning Point: According to his obituary, Busterud was the last Republican Assemblyman to represent the Haight Ashbury.
  • PUBLISHED: Busterud is the author of "Below the Salt", about how US soldiers "uncovered a great treasure buried deep in a salt mine in Germany: all of the gold reserves and priceless art works that had been removed from war-torn Berlin for safekeeping."
