- CLOSE CONTEST: At the end of election night for the 2026 Primary, Lopez was in distant third place (8.2% behind the second-place candidate). On June 4th, she had begun to close the gap, trailing by 7.5%. On the 5th, it was 5.4% and on the 6th it was 3.9%. On June 8th, Lopez was 1.3% from qualifying for the November General Election. Lopez took the second place spot on June 9th, trailing the first-place candidate, David Penaloza, by 1.6%.
