Candidate Biography:

Otto Rene Bade
Born: 1945 in Guatemala

1986: Member, Santa Ana City Uniform Appeals Board

  • In 2006, Bade filed as a last-minute write-in candidate in the highly competitive SD-34 race between Lou Correa and Lynn Daucher. His campaign was seen by many Republicans as a decoy, meant to draw away votes from Daucher, who led the race on election night by 13 votes. The Treasurer of Californians United, the organization that funded the Bade campaign, was Bruce Young.
