  • Open Mike: Duvall resigned in 2009, a day after reporters from KCAL-TV aired a news report that featured a video clip from an Assembly Committee in which Duvall discussed with Assemblyman Jeff Miller having affairs with two female lobbyists in Sacramento. The exchange was recorded on a live microphone before the Committee meeting began. On his campaign website, Duvall resigned, commenting that he was "deeply saddened that my inappropriate comments have become a major distraction for my colleagues in the Assembly" before adding that his resignation was "in no way an admission that I had an affair or affairs. My offense was engaging in inappropriate story-telling and I regret my language and choice of words."
