Acting Election

An acting capacity to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Board of Equalization Member Brad Sherman (SBOE-4) following his election to Congress. This is the date that John Chiang was sworn into office.

Governor Pete Wilson wanted to appoint Bob Beverly to fill the vacancy, but the Legislature signaled that it would fail to confirm Beverly if appointed.
