Born: ~1923 in North Carolina

  • QUOTABLE: Soon after the start of the Civil War, Assemblyman Blair introduced a resolution encouraging allegiance to the United States. It read, in part; "That any person or persons, state, community or association of individuals whomsoever, who raise their hands or voices against the union of these states or the constitution thereof, or the due execution of the laws therein, should be held and treated by the people of California as enemies of the republic, false to their country, false to us, false to the federal constitution, and false to the cause of freedom, humanity, and civilization everywhere."
