  • Founder and First Mayor of Fullerton
  • Edward Amerige had a brother named George Henry Amerige, who lived until the 1920s and was the nephew of Assemblyman George Amerige.
  • "In 1887, they purchased 430 acres of wild, uncultivated land, the present site of Fullerton. They laid out the town starting July 5, 1887."
  • PLACENAME: There is an Amerige Park, a street named W. Amerige Ave, and a neighborhood named Amerige Heights in Fullerton, named after the brothers George and Edward Amerige. Malden Street in Fullerton is named for his hometown in Massachusetts.
