Candidate Biography:

Born: 1820 in Louisiana
Died: January 2, 1873 in Chicago, Illinois

  • Legal Troubles: Numa killed George T. Hunt in a duel at the "old Pioneer race course" (at 5:30 A.M. May 21, 1854) following a disagreement at a theater in San Francisco. The weapon of choice was pistol at ten paces. Hunt was mortally wounded in the third round. [Source: sfgenealogy.com
