Candidate Biography:

Christian Peter Pann (as spelled in the 1903 Blue Book)
Born: May 26, 1868 in Oxford, Ohio
Died: August 10, 1962 in San Bernardino, CA

  • Not named after Peter Pan. That fictional character, created by novelist J. M. Barrie, did not appear until 1902.
  • The distance between Collinsville and Oxford is about 7 miles. Based on the size of the two locations, it seems likely that he was born in Collinsville, but the birth was recorded in the nearby larger town of Oxford.
  • His first name in official records was Christian, but he often used the name "Chris" which has resulted in a number of sources using the name "Christopher"
