  • COVID: McCoy (Senior Pastor at Calvary Chapel of Thousand Oaks) resigned from the Thousand Oaks City Council on April 5th after being criticized for his church’s plan to serve communion on Palm Sunday amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
  • McCoy was the first speaker at the public memorial service for Charlie Kirk on September 21, 2025.
