- In 1939, Lena Heisinger was an Assistant Engrossing and Enrolling Clerks for the State Assembly.
- Samuel Lawrence Heisinger was a Deputy District Attorney in Fresno County before he volunteered for service in the California National Guard in early 1941. He was captured by the Japanese in early 1942 and died in 1944 as a POW. His son Duane (grandson of S.L.) wrote a touching book about his search for more information about father and his military service.
- Heisinger died when his automobile was struck by a train 12 miles west of Kerman.
- Be Fruitful and Multiply: Heisinger had six children.
