  • LEGISLATION: Rigdon was the proponent of the construction of Highway 1 between Monterey and San Simeon.
  • PLACENAME: In the 1930s, a small park and drinking fountain beside Highway 1 in Monterey County (7 miles north of Lucia) was named for Rigdon. A recent article about the drinking fountain at the park is located [here].
  • According to cambriahistory.org, in 1905; "the Rigdons installed the first indoor bathtub in Cambria." [Source]
