1967-1969: Special Assistant, Commission on Indian Affairs

  • Resignation: Rogers resigned from Congress to join the US Army and serve in WWII.
  • Silver Screen: Rogers was an actor who appeared in 8 movies.
  • SUICIDE: After suffering two strokes, Rogers killed himself with a single gunshot to the head beside his car on a rural road.
