1922-1926: Justice of the Peace, Shasta County
1926-1933: District Attorney, Shasta County
1933: Resigned from the State Assembly on May 3.
1933-1960s: Justice, Shasta County Superior Court

  • Ross resigned from the Assembly on May 3, 1933 after being appointed to the Shasta County Superior Court. The seat remained vacant for the remainder of the unexpired term.
  • Ross was the son of Shasta County Sheriff Albert F. Ross Sr., who died in 1919 following a struggle with "mentally disturbed Cottonwood shepherd" in a jail cell. Ross Sr.'s name is on the California Peace Officers' Memorial.
