1995: Candidate in the Recall of Assemblyman Michael J. Machado (Recall Failed; No Successor Elected)

 

 

  • In the unsuccessful 1995 State Assembly recall, Simas was the recall replacement candidate who received the most votes (48.6%) but he was not elected because the recall did not pass.
  • In 2000, Simas was videotaped tearing down campaign signs belonging to his opponent Victor Mow.
