• LEGISLATION: Author of SB 192 (2015) which would require all bicycle riders in California to wear helmets. (Died; Senate Appropriations)
• LEGISLATION: Author of SB 608 (2015) which would have enacted the "Right to Rest Act", giving homeless the right to rest, construct shelters, eat, and perform religions observances in all public spaces, as well as the right to live in a motor vehicle or a recreational vehicle. (Died; Senate Transportation and Housing)
• Michael Peevey served as both a member of the California Public Utilities Commission (2002) and as Chair of the California Public Utilities Commission (2002-2014).
• LEGAL TROUBLES: On January 27, 2015, agents from the California Department of Justice executed a search warrant at the home of Liu and Michael Peevey in La Cañada Flintridge.
