Archie Moore was a legendary boxer whose outstanding career endured through four decades and a record 143 knockouts and who won the light-heavyweight championship when he was nearly 39 years old. After winning his title, he defended it nine times. He served as a trainer in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and was elected to the Boxing Hall of Fame. He lived in a home on E street in San Diego where he operated a restaurant known as Archie Moore's Chicken Shack.
