The Memorial honors fifty-two judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys who have significantly contributed to criminal justice in San Diego County. Herney was the first female Deputy District Attorney for the County of San Diego, the first woman from San Diego admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court
