Died: May 3, 1992 in Palm Beach, FL.

1952: Director of Entertainment, Presidential Inauguration
1953-1954: Chairman, California Republican Party
1956: Director of Entertainment, Presidential Inauguration
1960: Director of Entertainment, Presidential Inauguration

  • After being elected in the 1964 General Election, Murphy assumed his Senate seat on January 1st due to the early resignation of Pierre Salinger.
