  • In 1979, Perino was the target of two attempted recalls (the first led by Doug Carter and the second by A. Guy and B. Wikoff). The recalls failed to qualify for the ballot.
  • QUOTABLE: According to a CalBuzz article, when Perino's campaign manager was arrested in a murder-for-hire case, Perino commented "What he does on his own time is his own business."
