Candidate Biography:

Born: March 28, 1864 in La Porte, Indiana
Married: Mattie Adams Hoyt
Family: Son of Luther Brusie
Died: June 8, 1908

  • LEGAL TROUBLES: On June 8th, 1908, Brusie was arrested for embezzling $500 in Los Angeles. That evening he "was in a state of nervous collapse." He died two days later. According to an article following his death, "His untimely and sad end will be deeply deplored by all who knew him."
