1993: Resigned from the State Senate on August 17.
2008-2009: Member, Commission on the 21st Century Economy

  • SMALLEST FRESHMAN CLASS: In 1985, Morgan was one of the four members (and only Senator) in the smallest freshman class of legislators in state history. The others were Senator Becky Morgan and Assemblymembers Gil Ferguson, Jerry Eaves, and Wayne Grisham.
  • LEGISLATION: Author of 1987 State Budget and SCR 65 (1988) requiring the state to preserve and rehabilitate "The Stanford House" as a place of historic interest useful for tours, conferences and receptions.
