- Swalwell withdrew from the 2026 Gubernatorial primary on April 12th following accusations of sexual assault and harassment (which he denied). However, because Swalwell had already qualified for the ballot three weeks earlier, he remained on the ballot. The following day, Swalwell announced his impending resignation from Congress.
