1916-1928: Member, Solano County Board of Supervisors (appointed by Governor Hiram Johnson)
1948: Delegate, Republican National Convention

  • Senator Thomas McCormack was badly injured when the vehicle he was riding in overturned while he was returning to Sacramento from the funeral for John B. McColl. Senate President pro Tem William P. Rich, in the same vehicle as McCormack, had his neck broken during the accident.
