• SCHOLARSHIP: AB 338 (1970) created the Alan Pattee Scholarship; a waiver of fees and tuition to students in the California State University who are the natural or adopted child of law enforcement personnel or firefighters who are residents of California and who are killed as a result of the performance of official duties. 
• DRUNK DRIVER: Pattee was killed (and his wife seriously injured) in a head-on collision with a pickup truck on Highway 101 just north of San Jose on the night of April 19. The driver of the pick-up truck, 26-year-old Manuel Lucas, was drunk and lost control of his vehicle, driving over the center divide and into the Pattee's vehicle.
• Ingeborg Pattee was a member of the California Art Commission in the 1970s.
