1980: Primary Candidate for CD-31 (Lost; 15.3%)

  • Donald Wilson was a Primary candidate for AD-53 in 1974.
  • An incumbent who lost their party primary (in 1980)
  • CENSURE: In June 1980, the House of Representatives censured Wilson for financial misconduct (improper use of campaign funds). He is one of two California Members of Congress to be officially chastised in that way (the others being Adam Schiff). (Source)
